| 2024 Fall meetings - Monday, August 26, 2024The FALL 2024 Midwestern Region PSEA-Retired Meeting dates are set. Registration details can be found in your September County newsletter.

The annual "Update for Retirees" on the PSERS HOP plan will be a virtual morning meeting on October 24th. This is for members who selected (or are interested in) the Health Options Plan offered by our PA School Employees Retirement System. Check your county newsletter for details on registering or call the MW Region Office at 800.942.8025.
Midwestern Region PSEA-Retired will be holding an afternoon VIRTUAL Medicare Basics for Retirees Workshop on Monday, October 28th. Contact the Region Office at 800-924-8025 to register.
The Midwestern Region PSEA-Retired Annual Picnic will be on Thursday, September 5th at the MW Region Office. This is our "Back to School, But Not for Us!" social event. |
| PSEA House of Delegates - Wednesday, August 31, 2022Twenty Midwestern Region PSEA-Retired members attended the PSEA-Retired House of Delegates in Harrisburg on April 8 & 9, 2024. The twenty attendees from our region were elected at the five County meetings last fall. Your PSEA-Retired Officers were elected at this meeting.
The next PSEA House of Delegates is scheduled for Dec. 14-15, 2024 in Philadelphia. Representing Midwestern Region PSEA-Retired will be Terri Majors (Region delegate), Marcie Agostinelli (Region delegate).

| PACE Recommendations - Saturday, August 20, 2022
The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
If you are using a mail-in or absentee ballot, don't forget to add the date (including the year) to the return envelope.
Through PSEA's Political Action Committee for Education (PACE), your colleagues interview and recommend candidates who support public education. Please support these candidates and encourage your family, friends, and colleagues to do the same.

| NEA Retired - Sunday, August 14, 2022The 2024 NEA-Retired Annual Meeting and the NEA Representative Assembly were held in June and July of 2024 in Philadelphia. Our two Midwestern Region PSEA-Retired delegates will be Terri Majors and Marcie Agostinelli. Reports from both meetings were emailed to MW Region PSEA-Retired members in late July.
PSEA-Retired is celebrating our 40th year as an affiliate of PSEA and NEA.
Active members can join as Pre-Retired members now. Members retiring this year can join now. Contact your PSEA Region Office or ask you local president for information.

| Annual Picnic - Sunday, January 31, 2021The Midwestern Region PSEA-Retired Back to School, But Not For Us! Picnic is scheduled for Thursday, September 5, 2024.
Food, Bingo, Corn-hole, Conversation and Fun! Thanks to the Region Retired Officers and County Retired Presidents for their hard work in making this annual event a success. Registration information will be sent out in in July - check your email.

| Marsili Award - Thursday, September 27, 2018 Congratulations to Midwestern Region PSEA-Retired for receiving the Marsili Award from PSEA-Retired for the largest percentage of increase in members during 2015-2016 and again in 2017-2018.
